Good News and Bad News

June 21, 2020

I have good news and I have bad news. Which do you want first?

Don’t you hate hearing something expressed like this? Sorry. I could not help it. I will give you the bad news first. You are going to have to give up your Corona-body that you have been working on for the past three months. The good news? We are opening up this Wednesday, June 24th for classes.

I have attached a link outlining NJ State’s new directives for Sports and Martial Arts allowing for our re-opening. I have been putting together protocols and there are a few attachments for you to read and follow. We are opening but safely. I have either met but mostly exceeded the CDC guidelines for these protocols (for instance, the solution to clean the mat needs to be 2.5% bleach but we are using 6.5% to be safe. This means I will have to replace the mat much sooner than expected but I know you will be safe) and luckily, we have many students in the dojo that know way more than I who are advising.

So please read the attached. Print, sign and return the waiver either in person when you show up or email back. We are going to restart everyone's dues unless you tell us otherwise or if you have asked to be put on suspension earlier.

I really don't know what else to say. I am very excited. You can email, call, or text me with any and all questions (917-749-5457) or Frank, Danny, Derrel or Paul at any time. Please read the attachments and I hope to see everyone soon.
